Chatter Vibration Monitoring Today, vibrations when cutting is often a limiting factor. Production rate, efficiency, and quality must increase and they frequently push each other in opposing directions. When improving vibrations, production rate often decreases to half or less. Our Acticut® Smart Monitoring System is based on a ROBOX™ application and can help you to understand where the vibrations are located, and why. If the system says “clamping vibrations,” the clamping is insufficient. Typical categories would be: holder vibrations, clamping vibrations, insert vibrations, work-piece vibrations and machine vibrations. By telling you what is vibrating, it’s much easier to more rapidly find a fix for the vibration challenge.

This system analyzes and understands the vibrations in real-time and creates an on-line fix for the problem, independent of cutting parameters.
